Set sail from Playas del Coco aboard New Marlin or Marlin Tres, the 65-foot sister catamarans of the Marlin del Rey fleet. The boats are licensed for 90 passengers, but capacity is limited to 75 so there's plenty of room to spread out on deck.
Cruise the Papagayo coastline watching for sea life, then drop anchor to snorkel, try some fishing, or simply relax with a drink from the premium open bar. A light lunch is served around 3:30 PM, and the afternoon ends sailing back as the sun sets over the Pacific.
Good to know: bring your own beach towel, and have a snack before you board since lunch is served mid-afternoon. Snorkeling spots are part of a wild environment, so conditions can change with the weather, season, and sea.
Staying in Tamarindo? The same sunset sail also departs from Playa Tamarindo aboard the 66-foot Marlin del Rey.
